Mystic Gohan coming to help Son Goku and Vegeta fight Pure Boo is one example, regardless if Vegeta didn't want him there. I know it is PIS, but in general terms... Do you think it would have been beneficial? What are your thoughts?

I mean he wasted 3 years preparing for the androids basically by not telling Gohan the SSJ trigger until ROSAT. He didn't even explain how to become ASSJ even if he deemed it pointless to Gohan. And as for Vegeta, he just didn't need the headache Gohan or the boys being absorbed. Without the Kai, there was no way Kid Buu would become anytig like his previous forms if he got a hold of one of them and they would have been ****ed with no ear rings. I still say Goku and Vegeta being absorbed has a better chance of changing Kid Buus mentality and hindering him than Ohan or the boys because Goku is naturally good and Vegeta is overly prideful to the point they would be pulling the strings in his head

For the in-universe reason, it would be yet another example of Goku being an amazing fighter, but a bit dim in other respects.

With regard to the 3 years leading up to the Androids, I think Son knew you had to be a certain power to be able to sustain SSjin. Just an assumption of course. For plot reasons, Son Goku's special 'thing' was IT, became vital against Cell and Boo saga, if everyone had it, it just wouldn't be special. But he could have at least tried to explain it to Vegeta. If I was Gohan, I would be like dad, before we train today for the 247th day in a row, can you just try and teach me how you do IT? Want to see how it works. Son probably is the type to understand things if taught to him, but couldn't repeat that knowledge to someone else, otherwise he would help others learn Kaio-Ken also. If i'm honest, I nothing comes to mind as to where IT would come into use other than the times we see Son Goku use it, but it's just a thought..

In seriousness I've always wondered why he didn't teach anyone instant transmission too... I always shrugged it off with "It would really ruin it if every character could just.. POOF! Appear." So I'm guessing due to plot..

The Yardrats were highly telepathic, right? Maybe they used Telepathy to teach it to Goku. Maybe Goku wasn't Telepathically skilled enough to teach it to anyone else. Or there could be a million other reasons.

Tien and Chaozu communicated telepathically as did Piccolo and Gohan. That's an excuse. Goku just didn't want to share IT, kaioken, or even ssj. If he wanted to share ssj, he would've actually showed Gohan how to do it in the 3 years training as he was obviously the strongest base Saiyan there was to not transform. Yet he didnt even though it benefited his and Piccolos sparring greatly, and even though another ssj would make the androids catch hell. Don't let him fool you, if he wanted to win in a team fashion Piccolo would've been taught IT, Gohan would've been taught to transform, and kaioken would've been passed to the humans.
